Charged fee Criteria of Outpatients and Emergency Treatment for Various Identities

Statement:

1. If the charged fee is 0, it indicates that the hospital will absorb the charges.
2. Employed veterans are charged according to the requirements of the Health Insurance Bureau: 80% for colonels, 50% for commanders and lieutenant commanders, and 30% for lieutenant classes; Soldiers and sergeants are free.
3. For veterans, low income households, children less than 3 years of age, those with a critical illness or injury, pregnant women and patients who receive illness prevention and health protection and receive treatment in hospitals in mountains and offshore islands, outpatient, emergency and hospitalization fee are partially exempted.
4. Health insurance co-payment and drug co-payment should be charged by stipulations made by the hygiene and governmental authority.
5. Bereaved families of national servicemen are limited to partners who hold due pension orders and children less than 20 years of age.
6. If relevant certificates are not submitted upon registration in real-time on site, or the critical illness or injury diagnosis doesn’t conform to treatment diagnosis or doesn’t conform to any identity mentioned in this form, they should be regarded as ordinary citizens.
7. Registration staff should check certificate, document and data of hospitalized patients as stipulated in the appendix. If several identities are applicable, select one. The applicable identity must be ensured on-site. If certificates or documents are not validated according to identity provisions or registration is not made according to facts, relevant staff will be penalized as stipulated.
8. To handle medical treatment service for military staff, our hospital charges servicemen (including militarily employed staff) and bereaved family of national servicemen NT$ 10 for outpatient service and NT$20 for emergency treatment.
9. Patients who cannot complete the medical examination on the same day have to schedule the examination to other day.
