Fee-charging Standards for Outpatient and Emergency Services

Statement:

1. Patients being covered by the hospital will be charged zero NT dollars.
2. For employed veterans, in accordance with the standard of Bureau of National Health Insurance, we charge colonel 80%, lieutenant colonel and major 50%, lieutenants 30%, soldiers for free.
3. Veterans, low-income households, children under 3 years old, victims of catastrophic illness, birth giving women, and preventive health patients are allowed co-payment exemptions for outpatient, emergency and inpatient services.
4. Health insurance co- payment, drug co- payment, etc, are related to standard regulations and are charged by competent authorities of health care and government.
5. Military survivors: Spouse whose entitlement for indemnity compensation has expired and children under 20 years old only.
6. Those who do not bring in the proper identification, or catastrophic illness diagnosis that does not conform to medical diagnosis, or people who do not have the identity in the chart above are all regarded as general public.
7. All clerks at the registration counters must faithfully check patients' identity documents as are described in the remarks. If the patient's status falls into more than one category, please choose whichever is suitable for use and must make sure if it is suitable on the spot.
8. To attract more military personnel to come for medical services, we charge the active duty soldiers (including contract-based employees) and military widows only NTNT$10 for outpatient registration, and NTNT$20 for emergency registration.
